Well first off let me say that my name is Dorothy Finley and I'm 15 years old and I go to George B. Swift and I'm also in 8Th grade. The book I'm going to be blogging about is called "Monster".
Not in any way will I be biased or be racially prejudice I'm going to just let my emotions pour out.
When you hear the word Monster the first thing that pops in you're head is a big cold hearted, bloodsucking, nasty, stinky smelling, non compassionate thing well that's what I thought when I read the summary of Monster I had a perceived point of view of the Steve Harmon character. But as I began reading the book I began to see allot of different point of views. By reading this book I saw how unjustified the court system can be.II think Monster Will help allotof young people with their problems. It also helps people understand that racism is still here it is just hidden very well. That's why I feel Reading Monster will help change alot of people's point of view on life. That's why you all should read the book Monster

I like how you focus on how the point of view in this story is different from what we normally see in crime-type stories. We I read this story, I liked to imagine what the story would have been like if it had been the prosecutor's journal we were seeing instead of the accused's. Are you enjoying this book, Dorothy? I remember really liking it when I read it because it is set up so much differently from other books. What other books are you reading? Anything good I should check out?
